Lizzie started security training at the Centre for Security located on Consumers Rd. She thought the most difficult thing in the program was studying and remembering and that she couldn’t slack. Also Lizzie said, "I hated that I always had to pay attention." But the things she enjoyed most about it was the hands-on training.
For example, she liked the part where they had to run up to a person (her partner) and arrest them. “It was a lot of fun because I was the fastest person in the class to hand cuff a person,” she said. She also enjoyed learning the pressure points.
She had started the program because she thought it was cool. Her whole family works as security guards, and she wanted to eventually work her way up to becoming an RCMP or an OPP officer.
Lizzie passed the security test and was eligible to get a job with any security company, but she ended up not becoming a security guard because she lost her certificate that proved she passed the program.
